Frindle

This one's fun--just good clean fun, with a healthy dose of how words work. Andrew Clements' 105 page Christopher Award winning tale has a contemporary feel without ever sliding into the crudeness or disrespect that would have been so easy to do. Reading level 4.8. Let's give this one a 3 for Quality and a 4 for Acceptability (out of 5).

i appreciate these reviews.

if not just for the glimpse into how another christian man weighs culture through a specific lens for a specific audience.

i would like to see an image of the covers of each of the books that are reviewed. [easy to do via amazon.com and copying image location]

this way i can personally judge a book by it's cover.

just kidding.

i DO think it would enrich the experience.

Justin, thanks for the tip; actually, displaying cover art is already on the to-do list. I might get you to walk me through it once. dr
